The Lady Bug Ball. 
We welcome all "KID"S" to the
12th Annual Lady Bug Ball
Date: Saturday, April 2nd, 2011
IME: 9.00am to 2pm.   
 Location: Southdown Museum Grounds

This annual event was attended by 3500+ children of our parish and has grown steadily in the last 9 years.  The release of 100,001 Lady Bugs to the children of our parish is still the highlight of the day.  This events main purpose is to teach the Children of our Parishes about our earth, the environment and insects and hav a great day of fun and games.
Ganiers has sponsored the release of the 100,001 Lady Bugs since the begininng.
Terminix started in 2006 sponsoring the release of 201 Butterflies!


     

This environmentally friendly event was started 10 years ago by our REALTOR®  
Linda Osburn who was the founder and main organizer.  Linda was honored by RE/MAX Dixie Region for her contributions through the Lady Bug Ball for the Childrens Miracle Network award 2010. All our REALTORS along with volunteers for the last Ten years have participated to make this annual event a great success. 
        
The event starts with the Local "IndianTribes" dancing and blessing the Earth, our Land and the Event. There is fun, food and games for kids of all ages along with the Insect mobile, Audobon Zoo mobile and information on bugs and their positive effects on our environment. 
 

Environmental information,  Insect information, Fun, Games, Dance, Music, Lady Bug Costume Competition, Lady Bug Nail Painting, Fishing, Face Painting, Antique Cars, Fire Trucks, Police, Sheriff Cars and Plenty of Free Lady Bug Cake and other Foods makes this a favorite yearly children's event.

          

We would like to thank our sponsors and all the volunteers whose laughter, love, hardwork and energy  were invaluable to us and all the children of our parish.



Previous years proceeds were donated to CASA of Terrebonne.
The 11th Annual Lady Bug ball proceeds will be donated to several Local Children's Organization.
This year we have selected Louis Infant Center and the Children's Museum in Houma and
Childrens Miracle Net Work.
